Jesus Christ told His disciples in John chapter 15 to abide in Him because He knew the dangers, troubles, & trials that they would encounter after He was gone. He encouraged them to stand fast in obedience to His word and abide the divine pruning of God. In the Christian life we will engage many temptations and fears that we cannot overcome without abiding in Christ. He is our ultimate and only source of strength and life.
