The Scriptures – We believe the King James Authorized version to be the holy Bible. It is the word of God “given by inspiration”. We believe the KJV to be the holy Scriptures. II Timothy 3:16
The Deity of Jesus Christ – We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ and His deity. That Jesus Christ was conceived in the womb of the virgin Mary supernaturally by the Holy Spirit. That God was His Father and that He was both fully God and fully man without a sin nature. We believe that Jesus Christ was God manifest in the flesh. And as such, He is our one and only Mediator, our great High Priest, our Intercessor, our Advocate. I Timothy 3:16, John 1:1, I Timothy 2:5, Hebrews 4:14-16, I John 2:1
The Trinity – We believe in the eternal Godhead. That God is one God, and manifests Himself in three separate and distinct persons of the trinity. These three persons being God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. All equal in essence, all unified in mission, and all fulfilling their different and distinct roles in our redemption. Colossians 2:9, Matthew 28:19, John 14:26
The Fall of Man – We believe in the reality that all people are born dead in trespasses and sins because of their relationship to the first Adam who by transgression fell: and because of that fall, man in his natural state does not understand or seek after God, is not righteous, has a natural inclination against God, and is separated from God. And because of that reality, all are in need of redemption and a new birth. Genesis 3, Romans 3:10,11 Romans 5:12, Ephesians 2:1-2, I Corinthians 2:9-16
Salvation – We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ apart from any meritorious works on our behalf. We believe the Lord Jesus Christ “bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness…”. We believe salvation encompasses the imputed righteousness of Jesus Christ, the justification, the regeneration, the sanctification, and the glorification of every believer. II Corinthians 5:21, Romans 5:1, Romans 3:21 – 28, Ephesians 2:8-9, I Peter 2:24, John 3:1-8, I Thessalonians 5:23,24
The Body of Christ – We believe the body of Christ is composed of all saved individuals in this age. We do not believe the local Baptist Church, independent or otherwise, is the bride of Christ. Although the saved people of the local church are a part of the bride of Christ. When we are born again we are “in Christ” and we are eternally secure “sealed unto the day of redemption”. Ephesians 4:30, Ephesians 5:30, II Corinthians 5:17
The Local Church – We believe in the local church, which to be a scriptural church is an independent Baptist church. We do not believe in denominations.
The Return of Jesus Christ – We believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ for his church. He will come first for his saints in the air. We are pretribulational and premillennial. We do not believe the church, the body of Christ, will go through the tribulation. We believe we will come back with Jesus at the end of the tribulation where the battle of Armageddon will take place. The Lord Jesus Christ will then judge the nations, and rule over the earth for a thousand years of peace. Haggai 2:7-9, Psalm 122:5-7, Thessalonians 1:9-10, I Thessalonians 5:9, Revelation 19:11-16, I Thessalonians 4:16-17, Matt. 25:31-46
Two Judgments – We believe in the Judgment Seat of Christ for believers and the final judgement of all unsaved dead. Revelation 20:11-15, I Corinthians 3, II Corinthians 5
Church Ordinances – We believe that the two ordinances for the church are the Lords supper and baptism. Baptism is commanded by immersion in water for all believers and communion is observed as a remembrance of the Lord’s death until He returns.
We do not believe either of these two ordinances save; but they are outward manifestations of an inward transformation, of a new life in Christ, and are pictures of our salvation in Christ and of His suffering on our behalf. I Corinthians 11:24-25, I Peter 3:21, Matthew 26:26-29
Heaven and Hell – We believe in a literal Heaven and Hell. John 14:1-3, Rev. 4, Luke 16.
Sanctification – We believe as Christians that we must live holy and righteous lives in this present evil world and that we must be ambassadors for Christ. II Cor. 5:19-20, Ephesians 2:10, Titus 2:12
Marriage – We believe that a biblical and God ordained marriage is one that is to be held in union between one biological male and one biological female. Genesis 2:18-25, Matthew 19:4-6
We do not believe or accept homosexual or lesbian unions to be ordained of God in marriage or any other forms and that all who practice such are in need of repentance. Romans 1:26-28, Leviticus 18:22, I Corinthians 6:9
We do not believe in limited atonement and Calvinism. We believe we are “predestinated to be conformed to the image of his Son,” which gives us eternal security. I Tim. 2:6, I John 2:2. Rom 8:29
